Marian Apostolic Movement (MAM)

“Led by Mary, Receiving the Word, Transformed in Christ”

The Marian Apostolic Movement (MAM) is a vibrant and growing movement of faith within the Maronite Catholic Church dedicated to forming disciples of Jesus Christ through the loving example and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Originally founded in Lebanon in 1973, the movement continues to embrace the rich spirituality of the Maronite Church while responding to the call of the Second Vatican Council to deepen the faith of the adult faithful and actively participate in the life and mission of the Church.

The movement is centred on encountering Christ through His Word. Inspired by Mary's attentive heart, which unceasingly ponders the Word, members gather weekly to immerse themselves in Sacred Scripture through detailed Bible studies and the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, a prayerful and contemplative way of listening to God's voice that transforms both the mind and the heart.

Our weekly Bible studies are held on Tuesday Nights at 7:30 pm in the parish Youth Centre.

The movement provides also pathway to deeper spiritual renewal through silent retreats, days of recollection, prayer, the Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, and First Friday and First Saturday Devotions. These sacred moments invite members to encounter Christ in the Eucharist and the Word of God, be transformed by His grace, and grow in holiness under the gentle guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first and perfect disciple of Christ.
