Arabic School

The Our Lady of Lebanon Arabic School preserves and promotes the Arabic language, culture, and heritage within our parish community. As a proud member of the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools Inc., the school is recognised for delivering high-quality Arabic language education in collaboration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

The school is committed to helping students develop strong skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Arabic. Learning is delivered through a combination of structured, traditional teaching methods and engaging, interactive programs that support student participation, confidence, and academic progress.

Adult Arabic language classes are offered on Tuesday evenings.

The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 on Saturday mornings during school term. Nine classes are offered across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, ensuring that students can learn according to their ability and stage of development.

Students are encouraged to apply their language skills through active participation in parish events. Opportunities in singing, dancing, drama, and cultural performance help students build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and express their cultural identity.

The parish actively supports students in developing a strong connection to their Lebanese heritage. Families are encouraged to foster the use of Arabic at home and within the wider parish and community.

The Arabic School Committee is made up of dedicated educators, parish members, and volunteers who share a commitment to preserving and promoting the Arabic language and heritage within our community. We provide teachers with ongoing support and professional development to maintain the high standards of the program.
