A Word from the Parish Priest
Dear Parishioners,
Our Lady of Lebanon is a dynamic and active parish. We are blessed to have many liturgical celebrations as well as the following – Childrens’ Sunday Liturgy, Fersan Classes, Childrens’ Arabic language classes, Marriage Preparation Sessions, Family Days, Seniors Days and events for People with Disability (Faith & Light), the Teens Group (13-18 yo’s), Youth Committees - MYO & MAM (18-30 yo’s), Faith and Bible Discussion Nights, Adoration Prayer groups, Sodality, the Ladies Committee, Five Choirs, the Youth Counselling Services, as well as the Family & Adult Counselling Services and the Maronite Natural Family Planning Services.
Our current facilities under the Hall and in the former Hostel have become very inadequate to serve the growing needs of these different parish groups.
As we celebrate the wonderful Birth of the Lord, it is fitting to announce the birth of a new and wonderful project, a new stage in our Parish, to serve these growing needs of our Parish for many years ahead. This Project is the New Our Lady of Lebanon Parish, Community and Youth Centre to be situated on the property of the flats and shops with demolition and construction set to commence in March 2009.
